Maytag gas oven - intermittent problems heating the oven -

This answer was rated:

Maytag gas oven - intermittent problems heating the oven - sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I have removed the bottom panel and the surface ignitor glows red, but it glows for 3-4 minutes before the gas valve opens. Is there a way to confirm the gas valve or the ignitor needs to be replaced?

The problem is with the igniter Its not drawing enough current to open the safety valve

Replace the Igniter It will repair your stove.

Hope I helped you
