Hi, I have a Miele oven and the fan force element has failed and the fan no longer turns either. (a) How do I get the element out and (b) Any ideas on what would stop the fan from operating? I can hear a low humming noise when I turn the oven on to Fan Force.

Those convection fans wear out because of the heat

It dries out the bearing .The motor and the element comes out for replacing

That humm your hearing a seized up motor

Hope I answere your question

That's what I figured but how do I remove the element and the fan? Inside the oven I have removed the cover over the fan and element, and it looks as though the element should be able to be pulled out from the rear of the oven. Is that the case? I assume that the fan motor has to be removed from outside the back of the oven, after undoing the fan itself on the inside?

Right It all comes out the back all in one piece

Hope I answered your question
