I have a maytag sdg305daww gas dryer that seems to be operating

Customer Question

I have a maytag sdg305daww gas dryer that seems to be operating correctly ( barrel turns & etc) but does not get hot anymore so clothes do not dry. Not knowing how these work, I assume the ignitor is not lighting. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, ty Allen

HI Allen

When you turn the dryer on do you hear a click

Let me know. And is the venting clean.

Customer: replied 8 years ago.

Heres the breakdown of the dryer. The front comes off to get at the gas components

And the thermostats do you have a meter to check a few things,If not check the resettable thermostat Its listed in the breakdown .

Hi Doc, sorry had to run out a bit. I opened the bottom portion of the dryer but do not know exactly what to look for. I dont have any type of meter. Please advise.

This is the part to look for Its located under the drum.It senses the temp of the hot air leaving the dryer down at the bottom on the right. This part can cause your problem
