ok the first thing you need to do is unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel in the freezer section (inside) then take a hair dryer and totally defrost all the frost on the coils . the most likely cause ofr this biuldup is the defrost heater. g.e. had to redisign these because they were burning out. click here to look at heater. do you have a volt meter?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
thank you it is unplugged now and complete frost free do i just replace this part i am not sure if we have a meter
Expert:  Bryan replied 7 years ago.
thats probably the trouble with this. do you have a parts supply house nearby? you can bring the heater with you and have them test it if you do. we do allot of these. hope this helps thanks, Bryan
