ok its a kenmore front load. these are very tough to take appart and remove the basket assembly, do you have a bearing problem in this? the bearing assembly if that is your problem has to be change with the entire raer drum assembly shown here, Part 407639this alone is almost $200.00 and requires spliting the two halfs of the outer tub click here for diagrams of the whole assembly. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?m odelNumber=41743052200&productCategoryId=0153200&brandId=0582&modelName=SEARS/FRONTLOAD-WASHER&diagramPageId=00003&componentDescription=TUB/MOTOR&documentId=R0211545&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list let me know if you are having a rear tub bearing problem. this is a huge job. thanks Bryan

We have already taken apart the machine and are only having trouble with separating the basket from the rear drum. We already have the info you sent. We have purchased the new rear drum.

Remove pully put nut back on and hit with hammer. Good luck, I have had several that would not come apart, and some that did were broken in the back near shaft. Lay tub on side when you do this and have another person pulling the inner tub at the same time.

ok . you already took the pully off right? the drum is probably stuck in the old bearing and you need to get a block of hard wood and a large hammer and some two by fours to place the half of the tub facing down on the ground on the 2x4's take the hardwood block and place it on the end of the shaft and hit it real good until it comes through the old bearing. dont hit the shaft with the hammer it will damage it. theres probably rust on the shaft and bearing holding it from comming out . some wd40 will help if you let it sit for a while. I just did one of these about a month ago and it was real hard to get out also. hope this helps. thanks Bryan
