Customer Question

I have an LG DLE2514W elec. dryer. The cooling light stays on continuously and drying time has nearly doubled. I have read that it is probably a thermostat fault but it has 3 thermostats and 1 thermistor. Can the problem be narrowed down. Dave

it won't be one of the thermostats itself, it will be related the the thermistor. The thermostats only cut off power if something is going wrong inside the dryer. The thermistor is what measures and cycles the actually temperature of the unit.

Make sure your vents are clean and clear as well as this will give false readings to the thermistor if it's not.
