maytag gas dryer model mdg6000bww - no heat - comes on and runs - moisture sensor functioning acording to more/less indicator light - duct clean and clear with plenty of air moving - at the very begining of the heat cycle i can move the knob back and forth and hear a "clicking" sound?? gas valve opening?? we have plenty of gas - all other gas appliances functioning - help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello this will be a simple fix! Do you have a volt meter to make a couple tests?

Ok good. You will need to remove the screws out of the hinge on the door and the ones on the other side the door will come off then the front panel will as well. Once inside you will need totest for 110v to the igniter if you have power replace the igniter if not check the thermal fuse on the canister it should have continuity. If the igniter glows but does not light replace the booster coils.

Hi. If you were moving the timer knob, & could hear the clicking, It means that you have a bad timer, it has a loose cam. So to repair your dryer, replace the timer. If i helped you please accept. The appliance doc
