I have a whirlpool gas stove that is making a whistling noise

Customer Question

I have a whirlpool gas stove that is making a whistling noise when the burner is turned to high, but the sound goes away when the flame is turned to low. What would cause this? How is it fixed?

where is the wistling noise coming from? the knob? the back of the appliance or the burner itself?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
The noise is coming from the regulator behind the stove. I adjusted the incoming gas feed valve to reduce the amount of gas coming into the stove and the whistle from the regulator stopped.
