Ihave a kenmore gas dryer model XXXXXXXXXXX I push the start button and the gas burner ignighter glows but dose not fire. could the radiant sensor be not working

HelloCustomer my name isXXXXX most auto ignition systems the glow bar itself is the sensor as it reaches hi intensity a micro amp is allowed to flow and it is what lets the valve know that it can open the main gas control. I think the least expensive way to go is try replacing the ignitor as the old one may not supply the needed currant. If that doesn't solve the problem then I would look at the gas valve itself.
