Hi again,

Ok, if the tray isnt filling, first check that the tube(nipple) that fills the tray is not clogged with ice.
let me know what you find,
In additioin, how old is your fridge?
Thanks

Customer replied 1606 days and 5 hours ago.

I have had the refrig for about 4-5 years and the ice and water has never been hooked up I looked to see if I could see the end of the tube but I cannot seeit. I can see it coming through the back of the refrig but once it gets into the tray I cannot see it.

Hi, in that case there wouldnt be any ice there.
Now that it is hooked up, try unplugging the fridge for a few minutes to see if that resets it.
Make sure the arm is DOWN.Smile
Be sure to leave freezer door closed for about ten minutes after you re plug it in.
It will take a few minutes to start to fill after you pug it back in , if the ice maker is working.Tech Michael39769.0662823264

I unplugged the refrig and waited and plugged it back in and it did not fill. I am not sure which way the rotating top plate that is located on the left side which I believe is the arm to release the ice if this should be in the up position or if it should be tucked under this is a movable part with little fingers on it again I believe it is to release the ice. I also took the front white cover off the ice maker and there is a set screw wit a plus and a minus sign plus there are two small gear wheel that has an arrow that says turn do these need to be adjusted in anyway to allow the water to flow?

Hi,
No dont touch the adjustments.
The arm that would rest on the ice needs to be down in order for the ice maker to be on.
do the ice flipper paddels rotate?

Customer replied 1606 days and 4 hours ago.

Yes I was able to get the water going but only after I turned the screw it did over fill at first but I was able to get that stopped I do believe the paddles were in the wrong position to start. Is it going to hurt anything if the screw was turned and what is the correct setting to set it at is there a way to tell after it has been adjusted one way or the other thanks.

Hi that screw is supposed to be factory preset. but in your case it may have just needed a bit of movement to free up the mech.
If you didnt turn it too much or if you remember about where it was originally, then it should continue to work now.
as for the paddles being in the wrong position, the best way to set that for a first time use is by unplugging the fridge for a few mins, and then plugging it back in.
that causes the ice make to cycle to the correct position.Smile

I appreciate your help If that screw is in the minus position does that just adjust the how much water is put into the tray? Thanks again for your help

yes, the plus adds more water and the minus will decrease the amt of water dispensed.
But the only time any tech ever adjusts it is if you change the type of tray(s)
As for your case, your machine seemed just to be stuck as ice makers will sometimes do.
I wish you the best of luck with this one and remember you can ask me at anytime for additional help if the problem re-occurs.Smile
