I have a GE Model TFX25ZPBE WW and the water dispenser does

Resolved Question:

I have a GE Model TFX25ZPBE WW and the water dispenser does not work. It will sometimes dribble a little amount of water and then stop. I have replaced the filter, but it made no difference.

Thank you for using Just Answer.

Have you checked the water valve behind the refrigerator. It's what your house's waterline is attached to. You can remove the hose for the dispenser and using a temporary hose into a bucket push the dispenser button to see if water will come out.

The water valve is shown as part 795 below -

Here is what it looks like -

Does this mean that you suspect the water valve is bad?

HiCustomer

Yes, this part may be bad. It needs to be tested to confirm. You did not mention any problem with the ice maker. We also test the water line to the water valve (when the both are not working correctly).

The ice maker is working fine.

Yes, the solenoid for the water valve that goes to the water dispenser may be the problem.
