The model number seems to be mssing a couple of digits. Please check and post it with spaces between numbers (sometimes this software miss reads kenmore numbers as phone numbers and puts xx's in there).
The number should look like 106.226 32100. You may be missing the first three digits.
Also, is your model a top loading machine?
In very small characters 110.226....
Also top loading.
Thank you for the quick response. The machine is made by Whirlpool. They have made many different designs.
The procedure to dismantle is generally the same. What does change is how you remove the control panel. The screws can be hidden under side end caps of the control panel, or under the front edge of the ends.

Here is a great video with step by step stuff. The thing that changes a bit is how to get to those screws for the control panel.

Look at the first diagram -
If you follow the screws that you need to remove they are part 6 and will be visible after you remove parts 8 and 11. You have to remove them with a flat head screw driver and careful prying the plastic clips away form where they attach.
