Amana LG8519W/L2 gas dryer: Timer/selector knob no longer moves during dryer operation. Consequently dryer runs continuously and may or may not heat up. Timer or circuit board assembly?

hi Steve , sorry about not getting back to you sooner I've been having internet problems, did you say its heating or not heating sometimes? I'm begining to think you have a bad timer. this should move in time dry even if it wasnt heating , maybe thats the reason it doesnt heat sometimes also. let me check on your timer for you i'll get back to you, thanks Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Yeah, I was thinking timer too because it doesn't move at all. So does the timer actually rotate the knob? If so, I'm pretty sure that must be it.

Thanks,

Steve
