Hi, thanks for using JustAnswer.com. Have you checked your breakers? Turn the breaker off then back on and see if it starts then. If it does not, post your model number and we will go through some testing procedures.

All of the circuit breakers are on. The model number is XXXXX a maytag quiet plus dryer, MDE9606AYW. Does it cost me each time you answer or is it one charge for the entire conversation?
Expert:  Kelly replied 8 years ago.
One charge until we get 'er goin'! Can you depress the door switch and see if you can hear a "click" sound?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
yes the door switch clicks
Expert:  Kelly replied 8 years ago.
Okay, I suspect you have an open thermal fuse. It is # XXXXX in the attached diagram. It is accessed from the front by opening the door and removing the four phillips screws, two from each side, and removing the front panel. The fuse is white, plastic and rectangular. It will likely have grey wires going to it. If you have an ohmmeter, see if you have continuity through that thermal fuse.

How do I get to the attachment?

Expert:  Kelly replied 8 years ago.

I forgot to attach it, sorry...

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Does removing the front panel also invlove removing the door?
Expert:  Kelly replied 8 years ago.
Yes, you can remove the door. It may make it easier to get the front off...

I still can't get to the thermal fuse located in the front on the top right hand side looking from the front of the dryer. I do see a grey wire but still am unable to access the fuse in which may be the cupprit of my situation.
Expert:  Kelly replied 8 years ago.
The fuse is on the lower LH corner on the blower housing...
