Im trying to replace the water filter in my refrigerator.

I'm trying to replace the water filter in my refrigerator. The filter number is(NNN) NNN-NNNN The instructions say to rotate the cap clockwise to a horizontal position. However, I can't seem to turn the filter.

Hi, thanks for using Turn the cap COUNTER CLOCKWISE. The cap will be vertical, not horizontal when loose. If it pulls out, you got it. They can be difficult to turn, especially if the filter has not been changed for a while. When you intall the new filter, put a little Vaseline around the black rubber seal and that will help for next time. Works good on light bulb bases, too!
