Go to page 16 and 17, it talks about removing the brushes, this will be the same to remove the belt

ok, the discovery III has been discontinued, and was actually from a different company at the time. That is why I was having trouble finding the manual.
I found the manual here, use the drop down, discovery II and III are the same manual
But this was really no help to change the belt
I also found this thread that states that you don't take it apart like other vacuums to remove the belt, but you remove the top and sides to get to it, you can read more here, look at the last post for instructions
