our front load frigidaire washer began making a thumping sound

Customer Question

our front load frigidaire washer began making a thumping sound coming from one of the hoses in the back. The noise came from the end that is closest to the washer. It did last week and it stopped. It did it again last night. It sounds as if someone is hammering something in when you look, it is coming from the water hose in the back. We have looked inside the hose and nothing is stuck in there. PLease help.

Hi, thanks for using JustAnswer.com. I suspect your water inlet valve may be the culprit. May I please have the model number from your washer?

Sorry, I had to step out for a bit. The water valve part number isNNN-NN-NNNNand is accessed by removing the top cover. The valve is available at www.myapplianceparts.com or at your local parts retailer.
