I have a Whirlpool microwave vent hood combo unit ...

Resolved Question:

I have a Whirlpool microwave vent hood combo unit (MH1150XMS1). The vent is installed and operating in recirculating mode (not vented to the outside). When the vent is turned on, the air coming out of the grill above the microwave is moving very forcefully (almost like a hair dryer on medium setting). However, the air movement is barely noticeable at the air intake location (under the microwave, covered by the grease filters). I am wondering if this operation is normal, or if the unit is not functioning properly.     Thanks.
