Hello,

Is the compressor running?

Reply to MrBill's Post: yes the compressor is running

Hello,

The problem you are having is the defrost timer. The defrost timer controls the running of the fan and compressor. The thermostat gives the power to the defrost timer and the defrost timer sends it out. If you replace the timer you will be good to go.

The defrost timer sits down by the compressor. Part #10530703

You will be able to access this from under the doors of the Refrigerator.

#1541 in the diagram below.

Reply to MrBill's Post: But the compressor will run and not the fan would it still be the defrost timer if it controls both

Hello,

Yes, one power coming in, splits inside the timer. Definiteley a defrost timer.

I replace these all the time for similar problems. Sometimes the compressor won't run and the fan runs. Sometimes the defrost heater won't come on. Sometimes the fan and compressor won't run.

Replace the timer and you will be good to go.

Thanks Again.
