Reply to Glenn's Post: My Maytag dishwasher has worked well for the last two years. In the last few weeks the dishes are always wet after washing. It appears the heating element has failed. I need to know if replacement is something a homeowner can do or should I hire a contractor. Thanks

If you are ok with pulling it out and tipping it over then you can do it

The element has connections on the bottom
