Hello

I have never seen a reset button however there are fuses in the unit it self
There are several other reasons why this could happen
There are safty switches that protect the compresor from lack of freon

I am going to try tranformer were thermo wires are to see if there is fuse in circut board I got this info online have you ever seen that
Expert:  Glenn replied 8 years ago.

Hello

Yes I have it protects the 24 volt circuit that goes to the t stat

Also look for a break in the t stat wire squirrels have been known to eat them as they are usually just taped to the feed wire conduit
