Resolved Question:

I have a Kenmore water softner. Model #625-3484500. The problem I have is that the salt has turned to mush. I have been using Morton salt pellets. What do I do to get rid of the mush?

Depending on the level of salt in the softener the salt will turn to mush

It actually dissolves at a certain level and then from there is mushy and then solid

Reply to Glenn's Post: The mushey salt is about 18" deep. Will it be used up? Do I wait to put new salt on top. It seems to have been mushey for some time.
