Whem installing a refrigerator compressor where do would i

Resolved Question:

When installing a refrigerator compressor where would i conect the drier;and is that where i fill the freon.The drier i received has 2 ends brazed shut and a third end with a nossil.

Hi Customer;

Here are a couple illustrations of an installed dryer. It may not be exactly like yours but it should be able to tell you where things go to.

The ones marked 1 and 2 are the pinched off lines. The other is the service connection. The last drawing is of a typical guage hookup for adding the freon.

do i cut open the 2 closed ends on the drier and braze them to the other lines

Yes that is what you need to do. I have done automotive air conditioners but never refrigerators so i am not sure if there are any precautions that must be taken aside from a thourough evac before charging the system.

there is something that looks like a drier already hookedup but theres only 2 flowing tubes no service nossil.Do i leave that one on and hookup the other one elswear.

No you dont need two driers The prifonal drier needs to be taken out.
