I have an original P. Oswald wildlife painting commissioned

Customer Question

I have an original Walt P. Oswald wildlife painting commissioned by my uncle from Loves Park Rockford. This painting was done very early in Oswalds career, before he could even afford the brush canvass and paint costs. My uncle Art Farnam paid for the supplies and small fee to Oswald for the painting. It is approximately 2ft. X 4ft of a couple of bear near a wilderness stream.
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: My uncle ran a restaurant in down town Rockford after WW2.
