I have a vintage (1950 era) doll with a marking on the back

Hello. I have a vintage (1950 era) doll with a marking on the back of the head, where it meets the neck, that appears to read P&B (I cannot read it too well as the hair and hair ribbon are covering it and I don't want to mess up the hair). The doll has a red dress with fruit adornments and little patent leather shoes and white socks. It is in very good to excellent condition. the doll is also made in usa, if that is helpful. I am at a loss as to how much it may be worth...can you help??

JA: Don't you just love the idea of finding something valuable in your attic? I do, but I think all I have up there is junk my brothers abandoned before they left home. Always a good idea to check things with the antiques appraiser, though. Is there anything else the antiques appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: now that I look at the marking, it reads more like R backwards S B, if that makes any difference
