I was wanting to find the value of some old paintings. What is the process?
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Tell us what else you do know and the Antiques Appraiser will be able to better assist you.
Customer: I have several canvas paintings in original frames. One is signed C. Daniel and is of trees and a steam
JA: Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: I am not sure if color matters but the leaves are in orange colors, white bark. It is 28 x 40.

This is a circa 1950-1970 original oil painting

by artist Clarke Daniel (born 1911), a Washington, DC

and Florida artist. His work was not highly collected,

but he is a listed artist in the databases.
