Customer Question

Hi. I just bought 2 paintings from a thrift store. They are both real miniature paintings, but the frames are in bad condition. I 'm debating whether to repair or replace the fame.
Both paintings were already checked out by someone because the paper on the back were ripped. I took a look at the wood backing, and they were secured with very old hand hammered nails. It is very hard to read the painter's name on the back of the painting. I think it says, W. Prishon? If you could help me read this, I will greatly appreciate it.
How would you feel about me restoring them.
