I'd love to know anything(!) about a vase my mother bought

Customer Question

HI - I'd love to know anything(!) about a vase my mother bought 50+ years ago. Can I send you a pic of it?
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Tell us what else you do know and the Antiques Appraiser will be able to better assist you.
Customer: The vase is multi-colored glass (browns and golds). To my untrained eye it looks like it's brown glass with gold pattern that has a sheen to it. it's 12" tall and 6+ " at its widest point. Now you know why I'd like to send a photo of it!
JA: Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: Only that it's in excellent condition. I'd really love to know what style it is, etc.

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.

I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.

I will be pleased to help you.

Please send me a photo of the vase and the marks on the bottom.

To send photos you may use the "reply to expert" or "add files" in the blue box link on your reply page or the "paper clip" found in the toolbar you see on your reply page.

Please do not send in ZIP format. The jpg or jpeg format works best.

An explanation of this method can be found here:

Also, how tall is it?

Kind regards,
