Customer Question

I found what appears to be an oil on board painting in my mother's estate.
On the back in pencil (I think) it says "Switzerland, Brunner 1855"
Off the corner is written #58
Also in different pencil
"D9172"
Appears to be landscape, two trees, wood fence with an outbuilding".

Hi,

What are the dimensions and at your convenience, please send a view of the backside (do not remove from frame) and the printed words/numbers.

Hi,

Thank you for the image and dimensions. You have a painting by an unlisted artist that is a view in Switzerland. The framing, board on which the image is painted, and the style of the painted image all indicate that this was not painted in 1855. The person who painted it may have used a print image from 1855 to model after the image painted. On today's market, this can sell for as high as $75 - $110.
