This is a size 18s (large size) 1864 key wind Waltham open face pocket watch

with a William Ellery model 1859, 7-jewel movement. The serial number lists this

as an open face, but they also made hunter cases for this model as well. A hunter case means that there

is an additional cover over the dial area.

This watch is considered a Civil War era watch and these get a premium because of that fact.

If your watch is an open face, it is valued at $1200 and if it is a hunter case, valued at $1500.00.
