I have several pieces of a Ch'Field Havilland Limoges

Customer Question

I have several pieces of a Ch'Field Havilland Limoges setting but I'm unable to find the pattern on any of the multiple sites. These pieces were shipped to my from Alberta and unfortunately it is no longer a 20 piece set and I'm left with odd pieces. I'd like to know the value of either the pieces as a set or individually. The pattern is a scalloped edge, gold trim in an interrupted pattern, with purple flowers.
JA: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Is there anything else the Antiques Appraiser should be aware of?
Customer: They bear the mark GDA France
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Antiques Appraiser about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.

Please know that I cannot accept any requests for "live conversations" such as phone calls.
I give my best answers in writing when I have time to think about them.
Sometimes a "Chat box" will pop-up asking if you would like a live conversation. Please know it is not from me.

I need a little more information.

Please send a photo of the pattern and another of the mark.

Then I need a list of pieces you have.

You may need to use the macro function (flower icon) of your camera to get a good clear photo of the marks.

If you cannot get a good photo, then sketch the marks and take a photo of the sketch.

To send photos you may use the "attach file" or "add file" in the blue box link on your reply page or the "paper clip" found in the toolbar you see on your reply page.
Please do not send in ZIP format. The jpg or jpeg format works best.

Kind regards,

Doris

If another professional enters our exchanges, feel free to tell them that you are working with me if you wish.

Here are the photos of both the pattern and the mark. I have many pieces: 1 serving bowl - 10"x11/2"; 1 platter 16"w; 11 dinner plates (1 with small chip); 9 salad plates (1 with small chip); 18 side plates, 14 saucers, 8 cups, 11 small dessert bowls; 3 bone dishes; - oops, can't figure out how to send the photos!

Sorry, Doris - there must have been an update in software because I do not see a "reply to expert" to follow-through with the photos. Valerie

You should see a blue box that says ADD FILE.

Or you may see a PAPER CLIP to click on.

Expert:  Doris - dfm925 replied 7 months ago.

Not yet. They were sent to the general site email. Then they have to be forwarded to the correct category representatives who email them to me.

This process can take 24 hours especially with the holiday.

You will be contacted when the photos are forwarded to my email.
