As a wedding gift in 1994, we were given an original, signed

Customer Question

As a wedding gift in 1994, we were given an original, signed oil painting by Ann Edison, daughter-in-law of the late inventor, Edison. It was painted 5/29/64 and given to us by her niece who helped to clean out the house after the Smithsonian had taken what they wanted. It is approximately 16x20 in size and is of a little white cottage near some water. Can you help us to learn the approximate value of this painting?

Hi,

The images would need to uploaded or hosted, they are just showing as text/jpg lines here.

A super easy, fast method, which is free and no sign-in required is to go to:

http://www.imgur.com.

1. Click "Computer".

2. Double click the image you want to upload.

3. Click "Start Upload".

4. When the image appears on your screen, just copy the link from that page and paste it on this page.

The address I need will look like this example: http://imgur.com/mA2ju

Hi Nora, I rec'd a msg yesterday that my emailed photos had been forwarded to you. I hope they help.

I was surprised to see that my Discover card had been charged for the entire amount when I have not yet rec'd my reply. I thought the advertisement said that I only paid if I was satisfied with my answer, and I have not yet gotten an answer. What is the normal response time on this sort of thing? I've never done this before.

Hi,

I received your images and thank you for your patience. Ann Edison is not a listed artist thus the valuation is based on comparables and the suggested insurance or replacement value is $1200.

Thank you for your help. This was my first time ever trying anything like Just Answer and I truly didn't know the first thing about how it works. I can appreciate that Ann Edison is not known as an artist, but rather just as Thomas Edison's daughter-in-law. This is why we didn't have the faintest idea where to begin to learn more about the painting. Thank you for your help.
