I recently began working on my grandmother's 1915 lane cedar

Customer Question

I recently began working on my grandmother's 1915 lane cedar chest. I removed all of the veneer off the chest, which under was cedar. The top caught me off guard. It has a perfectly centered pattern of a butcher block type appearance. The boards that make up the center are vibrant green, black, & white wood. All with beautiful grains. Can you explain?
