Hi Sally,

My name is ***** ***** I would be happy to help with your cigarette case.

Could you attach a photo of the maker's mark. You should see it if you open it up and look closely along the rim.

Many thanks,
Robert

Please see the photos

Thanks so much for the extra photos.

Could you very kindly read me what that text says on the cigarette clip?

Does it say Brun-Hill Co., Made in USA ?

Also, does it say "STERLING" elsewhere on the clip or on the case?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
no
Expert:  Robert S. replied 11 months ago.

No to both questions?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
no to sterling
Expert:  Robert S. replied 11 months ago.

Thanks, ***** ***** does say 'Brun-Hill Co etc?'

Have you had it tested for sterling at the jewelers?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
no sir but I can do this tomorrow
Expert:  Robert S. replied 11 months ago.

That would be a really helpful thing to do as it will mean a great difference in value if it is indeed sterling.

A good jeweler will be able to test it and tell you in about two minutes whether it's sterling or not.

When I hear back I'll give you a full answer and a value.

Meanwhile, your question stays open for as long as you wish, so there's no rush, and I'll be here whenever you are ready.

Many thanks,
Robert
