Your Japanese export ware would have been registered and produced in Japan circa 1910 and sent out for sale in the English market. The Satsuma style cookie jar/ biscuit barrel decorated with women in traditional Japanese garb would have a current resale value of around 70-90USD taking into account the chip on the lid and the slight wear on the handles.
I hope this information was helpful to you today.
Best of luck with your Samurai China cookie jar.
Any feedback you can leave for my service would be much appreciated.
