Customer Question

I have a J.Allen Carroll oil on wood framed painting. I saw that various auction houses have sold these for anywhere between $1100-$1800 several years ago but nothing recent. What would this be worth?

Hi, my name is*****'m a certified appraiser, and I"d be happy to help.

Yes, the market for this artist, and this particular style of painting, has dropped off in the current market. Right now, at auction, I'd estimate the painting in the range of $700-$900.

That said, styles and trends change all the time and it could most certainly go back up in the future.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
