Hello,

Is your Mouly painting dated? As well, at your convenience, please send an image of the back side and clear photos of the title so I can try to decipher it for you.

Hi,

Thank you for the images and information. On today's market, your late work from 2002 by French artist and last living student of Picasso, Marcel Mouly (1918 - 2008) would carry an auction estimate of $4000 - $6000 at auction. The suggested insurance or replacement value is $12,000.

Do you know anyone who might be interested in purchasing it?
Expert:  Nora replied 1 year ago.

Hello,

As an appraiser, I do not refer buyers, nor do I have a list of people looking specifically for works by Mouly. The best way to sell this would be through auction. Below is a list for you of auction houses who have sold his work in the past.

You can contact each auction house through their website. You will send them photos and information. You would not be obligated to sell with any of them. Please bear in mind that estimates will vary from each business, and that the highest estimate is not necessarily a guarantee of a sale.

Contact all of them, if possible for you, regardless of the company location. This will also help you get a consensus opinion on the value and estimates. Approach each one as if you are interested in selling through them. Auction houses take a percentage of the final sale price, so it is in their best interest to sell it for a premium bid.
