Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,

My name is***** am a Personal Property Appraiser and would be happy to assist you with your question. Not a whole lot of information out there on Pelbam, other than he produced mostly portrait works of bearded men including ship captains and rabbi's in the mid 20th century and that his paintings are beginning to pour out of the wood work. You will see prices for the paintings all over the place, ranging from 30 dolalrs up to 3,000 dollars. In auctions similar Pelbam paintings to your sea captain are bringing in between 150-400USD. Based in the painting being in excellent shape, I would put an estimate of it's fair market value in the 350-450USD range based on the current market demand.

I hope this information was helpful to you today.

Best of luck with your David Pelbam painting.

Any feedback you can leave for my service would be much appreciated.

Thank You,

Frank
