Customer Question

Hello,
I just found a Bray & Manvel ornate pitcher. It appears to be silver plate, it is quite dirty. Additional markings on the bottom are: 1777, inserted pearls, patented July 8th 1856. Where would I find information on this piece.
Thank you,

Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,

My name is***** am a Personal Property Appraiser and would be happy to assist you with your question.

Your antique Bray and Manvel coffee pot would have oriignally been a part of a tea set including tray, creamer, sugar, and tea pot. The silver plated coffee pot decorated in floral Vicotiran design has a goose neck spout and was produced in New York, NY circa 1860.

In the current "as is" condition your antique coffee pot would have a resale value of 55-65USD.

I hope this information was helpful to you today.

Best of luck with your antique silver-plated coffee pot .

Any feedback you can leave for my service would be much appreciated.

Thank You,

Frank
