Belden was the company that made the cord. They were founded in 1902 in Chicago. They made insulated cords, cables, etc. Given the braided fiber design and plug, that lamp is going to date round 1930 (very early 40s).

The magnet test is a good start. That means it's likely made from pot metal, pewter or lead. Given the weight and look, it's most like pewter. It's an urn style lamp with a raised floral deco design. Most likely it was made by Art Craft Products. That looks like their sticker. They were based in Chicago and made a wide variety of arts and crafts style lamps, which would fit yours.

You might see a tiny AC near the lamp switch, but not always.

It should have a current secondary market value in the range of $75 to $125.
