I have a book, Tale of Two Cities. Inside on the title page there is no date, but someone has written in their name and the date 1901. Is this book worth anything. I realize the condition of the book is important. The spine on the book is broken on the inside of the front corner. The outside of the book has gray and red graphics.
Could you please provide the publisher?
The publisher is Donohue Brothers Chicago/New York
Thank you. This book in very good/near fine condition has a retail value of $20-25. With the spine starting to break (and no other condition issues), it would be good/very good -. Estimated retail value of $15-20. See http://www.ioba.org/pages/resources/condition-definitions/ for book condition grading terms. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
