how do I get an estimate if Disney paper Ticket Book is worth anything?
Already Tried: Web search for Disney
Hi and thanks for choosing Us.My name is XXXXX XXXXX X'd like to see if I can help.Is it for Disneyland? Do you know what year it's from? Is it unused? If it was used...what tickets do you have in it (like B, C, D, etc.). Are there any coupons? Thanks,Diana
Hi Diana, It's for Disneyland and it's called the Jiminy Cricket Ticket book. I think there are a couple that have been used but I don't know the year. It belongs to my uncle who is in his 60's. I think it is from when he was a teen.
Hi.Thanks! That should be from around 1970. The Jiminy Cricket's were used for "kids" and "junior" ticket books and they really started pushing the kid tickets then. They had about 6 to 8 tickets in them. Disney based the old ticket books on the type of tickets state fairs used back then. A was your cheap rides, B a bit better and so on. With a few tickets missing, the value isn't as high as a complete book, but still collectible. Based on the latest Disneyana price guide books and actual recorded sales, the Jiminy Cricket ticket book has a current secondary market value is in the range of $20 to $25.Prices will vary a bit depending on the condition of your pieces and where you try to it. Online markets (like Ebay) and garage sales do tend to go for less.Craigslist is a worthy shot because it's free. Etsy and Amazon are turning about to be a great alternative to Ebay. Rubylane, Tias, and Cyberattic are great online stores, but they generally have a store "setup" fee, so unless you have a lot of items to list, it may be a bit too pricey, but they do get the "higher" paying customers.http://www.bonanza.com and http://www.artfire.com are pretty good up and coming online sites.Ebay is great for a reaching a lot of people, but often values tend to run lower. Etsy is actually great for old Disney collectibles. If I can be of anymore help, please let me know.New Rating System, Explanation:Please Rate Me Only, not the WebsiteI am a appraiser who uses this site to answer questions for customers who come here.
