I have a figurine that I would like to know more about. It is a little girl with closed eyes and long lashes but she is wearing oversized slippers. She is carrying a floral basket in one hand and, in the other, are 2 flowers. She is wearing a tied scarf over the back of her hair. On the bottom of the little girl is JAPAN. Thanks so much!

This is from the 1950's after WWll, they started marking items out of Japan with just the word " Japan " this is a Hummel Style Figurine, ( sort of cashing in on the Hummel look). They were imported to the US and sold in Department Stores.
She is estimated to sell on the secondary retail market for an average $25.00-30.00, depending on the condition and where it is for sale at. These will typically sell higher in an Antique Shop or Private sale compared to an auction. If you are thinking of selling, I would check with your local Antique Shops in the area to see what yours or one like it would sell for or has sold for.
