I just bought a storage unit with an old needlepoint piece

I just bought a storage unit with an old needlepoint piece that has a fantastic custom gold leaf frame. it in about 20"x24" (framed 28" 32") here is a link to a pic of the piece the subject matter is children. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140786690764?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1416

Your needlepoint picture was framed in the late 1940s or early 1950s, which is when the needlework was done. The value is definitely in the frame.

If the picture and the frame are in very good condition, the current retail (replacement or insurance) value of the picture and frame is approximately $400. If you were to sell it, you could expect to get the fair market (private sale or auction) value of approximately 40% of the retail amount.
