I'm bidding on this item in an ongoing auction and before I bid any higher I'd like to know if it's really worth it. Is it old, unique, does it have any value. It looks like it was made using old wood working techniques but I can see modern world repairs also. The current auctioneer had limited knowledge of the owner only that his job took him to other countries and he believed this may have come from somewhere other than the United States. He called it a Snake Box. I have looked on the Internet but have not seen anything like it.
