Already Tried: Theodore Roosevelt’s ‘The Rough Riders” was published at that time in 1902, is in very good condition, very slight wear to top and bottom of spine and to the corners. The pages are gilded on top and deckled on the side and bottom. There is some fading of the blue cloth binding on the spine but the gilded print and the image of the medal given each of the rough riders are still quite visible. Book has 298 pages as well as some blank pages in front and back. All pages are very clean and only
There were several editions published between 1902 and 1904 (the book was first published in 1899). You mentioned the blue cloth and image of the medal - this was used again in 1904. The other 1902 edition has a pictoral cover and yellow cloth. The 1902 edition you have is fairly rare to fine. Most copies with this cover are from 1904. This book in the condition you describe (very good) has a retail value of $25-40.
The pictures verify that this is the 1902 reprint of the 1899 book.
