I have a poker chip set that I think at the very least is a limited edition and would like to find the value of it.....
Already Tried: searching online, ebay, stores, I just can't find this chip set anywhere. The box is too nice to be cheap.

Diana I will send you pictures after I am back from mothers day. Until then the set comes with 4 sets of cards and a world series of poker dealer puck that seems made of one piece of metal and is engrained with the WSOP logo. It is a 500 piece set. With 140 white 100 red 100 green 100 blue and 60 black chips. I have seen the chips called WSOP series III but am not sure if that's real or not. The case is black and wooden with a felt bottom. The handle has a trademark on it. It looks like a lower case y and w, with two half circles around it. It also say NO: 937 in the space after that. That's all the info I have at the moment. Thank you.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep my eye out for the pictures and until then I'll see what turns up with the information you gave me. =)Thanks!~DianaDianaF41042.7305732292

This is the first time I have taken the chip racks out and now I see the case even has raised platforms of felt covered wood for the racks and to make the cards fit. The playing cards have no Identifying company marks and I am hesitent to open a pack to find out what is inside. The chips are definitely made of clay, they even have "glitter" in the medium to give them a bit of luster. I hadn't noticed this before. I am very intresested to see if yo can help me find the value of this thing.
Hi.I can help. Tha's a world series chips set. It looks like an Excalibur. Those are usually in an aluminium case, but the setup is the same...even down to the dealer button. They are made of clay with no metal inserts in the chips. It's a high end professional grade casion quality poker set. It's a fairly modern set. It's a 937 model which was sold around 2005. Most of the 937's were actually sold through the Rio casino in Vegas where the championship was held. Odds are your set came from that same gift shop. Based on my records, your set should have a current secondary market value in the range of $150 to $200 depending on where they are sold.
Keep in mind that prices will depend on the exact condition of your pieces and where you sell them..Etsy and Amazon are turning about to be a great alternative to Ebay and do sell worldwide. http://www.bonanza.com/ and http://www.artfire.com/ are pretty good up and coming online sites. .Ebay is more or less a last resort. It does reach a lot of people, but the values tend to be lower. You will always get a higher value by selling it yourself as opposed to an auction or selling it to a dealer because they're looking for profits too..If you go with Ebay, consider a reserve..
If I can be of any further help or if you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
