Agnes Gardener King was an artist who lived and painted in the United Kingdom. She was born in 1882 and died in 1907. She has had a number of her watercolors sell at auction over the years. The current auction value for her works range from $3100-$3600. Gallery prices would be in the range of $4500.

My family have a signed painting of the mourners, we believe it came to Australia with my great grandparents, have you any more information, would it be a print? Or possibility an original?

The value provided was for an original painting. If you magnify the painting or take it out of the frame it should show brush strokes on a textured watercolor paper. If this is a print, it will appear under magnification with dots rather than brush strokes. If you take it out of the frame, the paper will be thick and often have some waves or ripples from the wet on wet watercolor technique. If it is a print, it will show copywrite and number produce somewhere on a flat paper. I hope this has helped in solving the mystery for you.
