I have a Marc Chagall Les Amants en bleu. This has a Zertifikat

Resolved Question:

I have a Marc Chagall Les Amants en bleu. This has a Zertifikat or German certificate stating the following. How much is this worth?

we hereby certify that the below (or: attached) created painting (or:
art work) by Marc Chagall was produced by our company (or: publishing
house) in a limited release, world-wide circulation of 10,000 pieces
as a Granolith-Process (or:Method) sample (or: specimen) as a
'screen-free' (this is the 'rasterfreie', apparently meaning that the
piece that you have isn't a piece to be used to print with)

Production (details):
12 colors in granolith
on 270 gram Rives-Butten (perhaps a type of paper, my guess)
paper format: 70x80 cm
picture format: 60x61 cm

Lover's Dream, circa 1962
The Lovers (eb bleu) (my french isnt as good)

Hello, and thank you for your question.

Is your print hand signed? Numbered?

Thank you.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
It is not handsigned or numbered. It has what I believe to be a copy of Marc Chagalls signature on the picture itself.

Thank you.

Prints such as that you describe were made after the original numbered editions and are considered lithography that is "between" that of the original editions and mere knock-off prints and posters. It is of higher quality and probably dates to about the 1980's or so. As such, in excellent condition, it would have an estimated value in the range of $300-$500 (unframed - framed).
