  • it is possible that the headphone function is stuck and the Tablet thinks it is connected to headphones, this can happen when the headphone jack gets some debris in it. Try these steps please>
  • Use canned air or try blowing in the jack to free it from debris and dust. This seems to be one of the most successful solutions.
  • Get your headphones and insert them into the headphone jack. Do this for a couple of minutes as sometimes it gets stuck in headphone mode .

Nothing... Would the headphone icon be on if it was stuck?

Expert:  Randy Boman replied 3 months ago.

Does the icon go off and on when you connect and disconnect the headphones?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.

Yes

Expert:  Randy Boman replied 3 months ago.

Okay, does the volume level indicator go up and down with the headphones disconnected?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.

Yes it does

Try Adjusting volume controls and see if you're getting notifications/ringing/vibrating as when receiving texts/email.

The volume can also be adjusted by pressing the volume button (located on the right side) up or down.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps >Settings > Sound & notification .
  2. Tap Volume.
  3. Adjust any of the following then tap OK:
    • Notifications sound
    • Touch feedback & system
    • Music, video, games & other media
    • Let me know if any of these work please.
